We decided this year over the Labor Day holiday that we would drive to Hamilton, Montana to visit some of Stoney's family he has not seen for years. When he was little, he lived in Pinesdale, Montana for a little while. We loaded up the truck and camper and headed for Montana. The first night, we pulled into the camp site next to Granmda and Papa in Idaho Falls. It was a great drive in the camper. Everyone slept, including mom! Poor Stoney! The next day, Shawn and Shelly, and Greg and Molly and their families arrived and we had lunch with Grandma & Papa and then left for Montana. We spent the night in a Super 8 motel (what a dive and it cost $108!) The next day we went to a cousin's house and had a big brunch with as many of the family that they could round up. The house we were at was my dream house. Right on a pond and a river with 80 acres of land. It was amazing. The kids enjoyed the day eating and riding around the pond in a paddle boat. After touring the old stomping grounds, we headed back to Idaho Falls. The next day, we attempted some river fishing, but that didn't go over so well. Took the little kids back to the campground to go swimming and Papa Virgil took the teenagers to ride go carts. I think it was a good excuse for him to finally try out the go carts! We all had a really great time and it was great to see so much family all in one trip. We headed back home on Labor Day and brought granny with us so she could tend the kids while Stoney and I went to San Antonio on a business trip.
